Your looks stay yours.

This policy applies to the Yui mobile application for iOS and Android, published by Lambdas. In this document, "Yui" and "we" mean the app and its publisher.

• We do not create user accounts.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number or any identifier that ties your activity to you.
• We do not use analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising networks or marketing pixels.
• We do not upload your photos, camera frames, saved looks or preferences to any server.
• We do not sell, rent or share data with third parties.

To work offline and remember what you built, Yui stores the following locally on your device (via the operating system's secure app storage):

• Looks you have saved (colours assigned to each piece, name, timestamp).
• The zones you have chosen to include in your composition (hat, top, pants, shoes, watch).
• Your language preference and onboarding flags.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it yourself. You can clear all of it at any time by uninstalling the app, or by using the "Throw away" action on each saved look.

Camera

Yui uses the camera for its live colour picker and to let you take a photo from which to sample a colour. Frames are processed in memory on your device only. They are not recorded, saved or transmitted.

Photo library

When you pick a photo from your library, Yui reads that single image to extract its dominant colours. The photo is not copied out of your library and is not uploaded.

Haptics

Yui uses haptic feedback to confirm interactions. This does not produce or collect any data.

Yui lets you export your saved looks as a JSON file using the share sheet on iOS and Android. That export is created and handed to you; Yui does not store a copy. You decide where that file goes (iCloud, email, AirDrop, a file manager, etc.). The recipient of that file is outside Yui's scope and governed by that service's policy.

Yui is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Yui does not collect personal information in the first place, there is nothing specific about children that we retain.

Because Yui stores data only on your device, the security of that data depends on your device's security (lock screen, biometric protection, OS-level app sandboxing). We rely on the platform's standard secure storage APIs.

Yui is distributed globally through Apple App Store and Google Play. Because no personal data leaves your device, there is no international data transfer. The same privacy practices apply wherever you are.

If we change how Yui handles data, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app.
